swollen foot 2 Months ago
Hi
A few days ago my left foot began to swell up for no apparent reason. Does anyone know who could have caused this? I am diabetic and I have high blood pressure. Might this have anything to do with it?

thanks

Re:swollen foot 1 Month, 4 Weeks ago
Hi there,

There can be several reasons for a swollen foot or swollen feet. If it is only one side, then it gets rid of some of the possibilities such as the heart not pumping quite as well as it could, or low proteins in the blood.

On one foot only, it can be due to trauma (did you bang it?)your lymphatics (see www.lymphoedema.co.uk) veins or DVT (see www.veins.co.uk) or could be arthrits or gout if only part of the foot is swollen.

It would be sensible for hyour to see your GP - esp if it isn't going down or if you have any other symptoms.
