Medical Pages News
Medical Pages is always striving to improve its service both to our
clients, and to people who are looking for medical information,
specialists, techniques or specialist centres.
Our news reports below are in reverse
order so you can see our latest changes as easily as possible.
|
December 2008 |
Development team
identified and commissioned. Work to begin immediately - with an
aim to have the new Medical Pages launched in April 2009 at the
latest. |
|
November 2008 |
The Managing Director
of Medical Pages decided on a program of investment and upgrading
of the Medical Pages website and services.
Following the
difficulty that many of our clients had found using the CMS
(content management system) introduced by the now redundant
creative director, the managing director decided to source a
purpose built option to run both Medical Pages main site and all
of the Medical Pages sites.
This should improve
the performance of all sites, massively increasing traffic and
allowing those clients that wish to write their own websites using
simple tools (similar to Word and other word processing programs)
to be able to - but without the bugs the previous system had shown
to have. |
|
October 2008 |
Medical Pages moves to
our new server to improve uptime of the main site. A program of
migration of client sites to the new server is instituted to
improve uptime for our clients.
e-mail accounts being
moved to new mail server - clients with e-mail problems through
the 123 reg / webfusion server moved first - clients able to use
webmail via the internet, outlook on their own computers or e-mail
forwarding.
The improved e-mail
service allows the launch of the new professional e-mail service
for professionals or companies who wish to have a professional
e-mail address. |
|
September 2008 |
After constant
problems with the 123 reg / webfusion dedicated server, Medical
Pages bought a new server through EasySpace. This server offers
some new services as well as having better uptime for our
websites. It has internal Raid 1 back-up and several other
features to improve service for our clients to use.
e-mail services through our new mail
server allow Medical Pages to offer more secure e-mail services
including POP3 mail boxes that can be accessed through outlook, or
via webmail from ANY computer connected to the internet in the
world - or can be forwarded to up to any 3 other addresses already
being used. |
|
August 2008 |
Due to client
requests, Medical Pages provides a basic web design service for
those who wish to have a full Medical Pages service. Website
templates are put up on site for clients to choose from - with
more to appear. |
|
July 2008 |
Medical Pages changed
business structure - concentrating on the promotion of clients web
sites. Clients are encouraged to have web design done by
specialist web design companies, friends, relatives or themselves
- Medical Pages will then supply the hosting, links and branding
to drive visitors to the site. |
|
June 2008 |
Creative director and
web design team made redundant. A series of poor decisions
resulting in very poor performance for Medical Pages main site and
clients web sites. |
|
November 2007 |
Appointment of 3 new
technical staff to support web designer. |
